Jacob Sleeping

My husband loves to go in and watch Jacob sleeping. This started from the first night we brought him home. He doesn't take pictures every night, but pretty close to it. There is just something about watching that innocence that gives you peace. When Rodney and I started to realize that our dreams of having a family were changing we prayed for that daily. Peace...God please give us peace. Infertility... please give us peace. We hurt so much...please give us peace. God do you hear us...please give us peace. Adoption...please give us peace. Uncertainity...please give us peace. Waiting...please give us peace. He gave us that peace and so much more. He showed us that he was there with us and that he loved us. Sometimes it was through a friend, a letter, a phone call, or His word. These are some of the scriptures that helped us find that peace:

Romans 15:13 "May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit."

Philippians 4:6-7 "Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus."
